In short

Vidsavo is a browser extension. The videos you save and the pages you open are processed on your computer and are not sent anywhere. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.

What stays with you

• Page and video addresses the extension finds, and the downloaded files themselves.
• Extension settings and your download list.
• The date your free trial started. It is stored in the browser and, if Chrome sync is on, in your browser account — so reinstalling does not restart the trial.

What leaves your computer

• Buying Pro. Payment is handled by Gumroad, which processes the sale and handles sales tax. You enter card details and email on its page; we never see your card. The Gumroad privacy policy applies.
• Pro key checks. The extension sends your key to our server api.vidsavo.com on activation and about once a day; the server checks the key with Gumroad and remembers which computers it is active on (up to three). The browser and system name are sent too (for example “Chrome · macOS”) so you can see where the key is active.
• Automatic Pro activation. When you press Buy Pro, the extension creates a random tag and passes it to checkout. Our server api.vidsavo.com receives the sale number, buyer email, key and that tag from Gumroad and keeps them for up to 30 days so the extension can collect the key.
• Discounts and support. When you open the extension window or the Pro page, the extension asks api.vidsavo.com for the support contact and current discounts, at most once every 12 hours; a promo code you enter is sent there to be checked. Like any website, our server sees your IP address. If you contact support via Telegram, the extension version and plan are added to the message.
• Updates. The Chrome Web Store version is updated by the store. The version from our site checks for new versions by requesting a release description file.

The vidsavo.com website

The site uses no cookies or analytics. Fonts are served from the site itself. Our host, Vercel, may keep technical request logs (IP address, time) to protect against attacks.

How long we keep data

Order records on api.vidsavo.com — up to 30 days after purchase. The list of computers a key is active on is kept while the key is valid; we store only a fingerprint of the key itself. Gumroad keeps purchase records under its own rules and tax requirements.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted: write to support@vidsavo.com. To remove extension data from your computer, uninstall the extension.
